Additional public transport runs to be organized during Contemporary Culture Forum „Whine Night”
„Rīgas satiksme” informs that in the night of September 8/9 additional public transport runs will be organized on some public transport routes for the convenience of visitors of the Contemporary Culture FGorum „White Night”. The additional public transport will run from the city centre until 2:00 a.m.
The additional public transport runs will be organized to cover a majority of Riga districts and ensure the delivery of passengers to/from the „White Night” events:
- on bus routes No. 3, 11, combined 12/23/26 (runs across Akmens Bridge), 18, 24, 25, 37, 40, 50, 51 and 53;
- on trolleybus routes No. 9, 14, 15,17, 18, 22 and 27;
- on tram routes No. 1, 5, 7, 10 and 11.
There will be two additional trams running in the "White Night” – «Straume mirdz» (Shining stream) with an arts and DJ programme uniting the three Baltic States, and «Radio NABA» with a built-in radio studio and a psychedelic carnival. Tram “Straume mirdz” will run from 18:05 until 23:30 by the following route: Ausekļa Street – 2nd Forest Cemetery – Ezermalas Street and from 23:30 by the route: Ausekļa Street – 2nd Forest Cemetery. Tram “Radio NABA” will run from 18:12 until 23:30 by the route: Ezermalas Street – 2nd Forest Cemetery – Ausekļa Street and from 23:30 by the route Ausekļa Street – 2nd Forest Cemetery. Both the trams are provided in cooperation with the Directorate of Culture of Riga City Council’s Department of Education, culture and Sports and will be available to passengers for free.
